The movers can handle many common items that are considered "heavy", as detailed below.
How we Define "Heavy"
For the majority of moves we consider an individual item as heavy when the weight exceeds 250 pounds. While weight is a primary consideration, other factors, such as the dimensions and access conditions, are also factors. For example, an armoire may weigh less than 250 pounds, but if its dimensions are bulky and awkward we may categorize it as heavy to ensure it can be moved safely.
Examples of Heavy Items
- Piano, Organ
- Safe, Gun Safe
- Most Furniture with Marble, Granite or Stone (Including bathroom vanities)
- Non-Standard Home Gym Equipment (Commercial of Professional Grade Treadmill, Elliptical, etc)
- Large/Thick Glass
- Large Aquarium
- Slate Pool Table
- Hot Tub
- Specialty Equipment (Pottery Kiln, Commercial Printers, etc)
Examples of Normal Items
In most cases the items listed below would not be considered heavy. Remember, if you are ever unsure it is best to make us aware of the items in question so we can make the appropriate determination.
